In 2007, the world’s leaders added a second target under MDG 5: achieve universal access to reproductive health. Reproductive health is essential for reaching all other Millennium Development Goals. This shows why decision-makers should priorities saving mothers’ lives and key investments they should make in order to achieve that goal. Gender inequality, unfair health systems, disproportionately distribution of workforce, incorrect policy making, considering low priority for health in comparison to other systems, inequitable distribution of resources and inequity in financing that ignore minorities and marginalized population, are effective social determinants of Maternal Mortality.
