Background and Aim: Sexual deviations have a long history in human life and can generally be considered behavior that goes against normal human behavior and natural norms, which can have widespread social and individual destructive effects. One of these lesser-known deviations is Cuckoldism, which can be briefly defined as a person's indifference to sexual relations outside the context of their spouse. The main reason for its formation being the institutionalization of a feeling of inadequacy in the individual. Understanding this deviation and the factors affecting its formation from a psychological perspective is a basis for the correction and treatment of sufferers, and from a criminological perspective, it also helps to prevent the occurrence of sexual crimes. Therefore, in this article, we will address the issue by answering the following questions: first, what is the nature of this deviation? And the second, what causes and factors play a role in its creation?
Method: This research is theoretical and the research method is descriptive-analytical. The data collection method is library-based and was conducted by referring to documents, books, and articles.
Ethical Considerations: In the present study, the principles of trustworthiness, honesty, impartiality, and originality of the work have been observed.
Results: Cuckoldism is a deviation based on masochism or sexual abuse in which a person experiences humiliation by their partner, but at the same time enjoys it. The factors that cause the person to feel inadequate and humiliated must be identified and appropriately addressed.
Conclusion: This deviation occurs following the formation of a feeling of inadequacy in the affected individual, and during the course of his or her development, factors can play a role in the emergence of this feeling, including childhood challenges and the failure to properly respond to the child's needs, and the subsequent failure to provide proper education on sexual concepts during adolescence and the habit of watching pornographic films, which causes the individual to misevaluate the realities of society and gradually normalizes unusual sexual relationships for the individual.
