Abstract:  
Background and Aim: Medical genetics results can be used today as one of the most valid and least error-prone reasons which contribute greatly to reduced judicial errors. However, due to its complexity, this science has brought with it many legal and moral concerns and sometimes raising alarms. In this article, we will investigate the ethical and legal challenges related to medical genetic tests.
Method: This research has been written with a descriptive-analytical method and the library study method has been used to collect information.
Ethical Considerations: In all stages of the current research, the authors have tried to observe scientific honesty and original references.
Results: The results indicate that challenges such as the position of people's satisfaction in conducting genetic research, the dilemma of disclosing or not disclosing information regarding post-mortem investigations, Genetic testing of children and specific issues in their screening, disclosure or non-disclosure of genetic information to spouses, challenges associated with genetic studies and misuse of genetic data. There is a need in this area in the Ministry of Health and the Medical System Organization to approve related guidelines for the privacy of genetic testing participants.
Conclusion: These challenges must be studied because failure to recognize them can endanger people's rights, security and basic freedoms.
