Abstract:
Background and Aim: More than one billion people in the world, i.e. 15% of the world's population, live with disabilities in various forms and they face various problems, including the problem of employment and wages. The purpose of this article is to examine the right to employment of disabled people in Iranian law, emphasizing Article 23 of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Islamic Human Rights.
Method: The mentioned article is descriptive and analytical and library method is used.
Ethical Considerations: In all stages of writing the present research, the originality of the texts, honesty and trustworthiness have been respected.
Results: Employment laws for the disabled in Iran pay attention to some legal aspects based on the principles contained in the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. International documents have principles in the field of employment of disabled people, some of these principles include; Prohibiting discrimination on the basis of disability with regard to all issues related to all forms of work, including employment. In Iran, the right to occupy the disabled has been supported in the Law on the Protection of the Rights of the Disabled approved in 2013.
Conclusion: The legal structure and approaches to employment for the disabled in the Islamic Republic of Iran are far from international documents, including the principles of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and some aspects of support for the employment of the disabled have been neglected in Iran's laws.
